					Parallel Vienna
Strange art, a strange exhibition space – it's time for Parallel Vienna again! This year's place to be: the vacant Otto Wagner site in the 14th district. The three pavilions that are involved impress above all with their Art Nouveau architecture, which, in combination with the surrounding nature, create a very special atmosphere. Works by the well-known and soon-to-be-known will be on display ;-) One of them is the artist Emma Kling, who fascinates with her layer art and intermingling patterns and motifs. Come by! Check it out!

					Park & Parking Space
There are some very pretty parks in our favourite city. But there is one in particular: instead of greenery, it has a purist white look and instead of trees, the most beautiful fashion trends grow here from the clothes rails. PARK was Vienna's very first concept store almost 20 years ago and has been internationally sought-after ever since. Now PARK is also getting a “Parking Space” on the upper floor, which will henceforth be used for various projects and cooperations. From now on, art exhibitions and design markets will be held there, while shopping will continue on the ground floor – a perfect combination!

This is our Blood – Period Shame
“Strawberry week”, “visit from Aunt Flo”, “Bloody Mary” – the countless would-be funny paraphrases for “period” alone are frightening. In their activist exhibition, Lisa Grum and Kerstin Schinnerl now show that the natural process is absolutely not a taboo subject. Instead, they impart knowledge and encourage self-reflection with photos, videos and exhibits. The exhibition is also interactive and visitors can try out a menstrual cramp simulator or share their “most embarrassing” period moments on a “Wall of Shame”!

					Mysterious Pharmacy Cellar
Vienna has a lot to offer in terms of history and architecture – even underground! This is now demonstrated by an old, multi-storey pharmacy cellar that was recently discovered and is now opening its doors to the public. With winding corridors lined with hand-carved stones, the cellar is an architectural gem and offers a fascinating picture of old pharmacy practice. Medicine bottles, herbal preparations and ornate mortars bring to life the bygone era of healing. All this can be discovered during a guided tour today!

					1st Vienna Art Park
A big item on the agenda at the moment: making the most of the last days of summer! Today you can do this in a particularly creative way in Hermann-Gmeiner-Park in the first district. For a few hours, the park is transformed into an open-air gallery where 80 artists offer their works for sale to the public. Meanwhile, you can also look forward to a diverse cultural programme with dance, song and food from all over the world. Highlight: a raffle, the grand prize of which is a voucher worth 500 € that can be redeemed for the purchase of artworks from the exhibition!

					Satuo
Finnish folk, bluegrass, Cuban son, jazz, rock, Italian pop and Russian songs – it's hard to imagine that such different genres can be made into one melodic melting pot. The Austrian-Finnish band Satuo proves otherwise and disguises new songs as traditionals and alienates old folk songs with guitars, mandolin, banjo, piano and accordion. Most beautiful, however, is the sound of their years of friendship, through which singer Laura Korhonen managed to relearn her music after her sudden hearing loss. Today the new album will be presented!

					Grätzel Flea Market
No plans for Sunday yet? We have a nice suggestion! During a walk through Dornbach and Neuwaldegg today, you can not only admire the late summer nature, but also snatch one or two stylish items at the Grätzel flea market. There are lots of nice stalls, from clothes and accessories to garden sundries and furniture to a small creative market with BlühWerk stationery and specialities made from green walnuts and scented roses. By the way, you can find them thanks to the colourful balloons with which they are marked!

					Austria-Germany
As in football, so in art? No, certainly not. The new autumn exhibition at the Albertina modern is not about competition, goals, tough matches, winners and losers. It's about a direct juxtaposition of outstanding art stars from both countries. And so, on Karlsplatz, a Baselitz chef-d'oeuvre now waves at the pastel Maria Lassnig structure, Arnulf Rainer and Gerhard Richter wink at each other from their canvases and Albert Oehlen and Marta Jungwirth try to out-colour each other. Definitely a match you should not miss ;-)

					Sisi’s Diary
She smoked, starved herself, exercised excessively and despised court etiquette – Sisi still fascinates even 125 years after her death. On the occasion of this special anniversary, the Sisi Museum is shedding light on the moving fate of the empress today with a special programme: In the historic audience waiting room, the well-known actress Marion Mitterhammer will read from Elisabeth's diary, which she wrote as poems that were as ironic as they were critical. Beforehand, there is a guided tour of Sisi's private chambers, which lifts the veil of the sad empress. Melancholic...

					MQ Vienna Fashion Week
Today it's haute couture time at the MuseumsQuartier ;-) Fashion Week is now underway and that means fashion shows by local and international designers, pop-up stores (it would be mean if you were only allowed to look!) and fashion events! For the 15th time, countless labels will show in the big tent in front of the MQ that fashion doesn't just exist so that you don't have to walk around naked. A total of 41 designers will present their collections on the catwalk. The opening show starts today, and on Wednesday there will even be free admission to the Fashion Night.

					Bobby Alu
There are people whose presence somehow makes the sun shine even on rainy days. The Australian musician Bobby Alu is one such person. With his happy-making Polynesian folk, paired with soul and tropical pop, the Australian spreads positivity without glossing over the tough issues. Today, for example, he lights up the stage at the Chelsea with his new single “Sunsets (with you)” and makes us vibe along to classic soul reggae from the 70s. And even though it will already be dark when he performs today, you can still feel a few imaginary rays of sunshine on your skin when you hear his voice...

					Starkl Stadtsalon
Folks with a green thumb and interior groupies, take note: There's a new place to be in the Nestroyhof! Starkl Stadtsalon has opened on 450 sqm and all we can say is, it's wow. Everything about indoor and outdoor furnishing, decoration, regional cuisine and cosmetics is combined in harmonious colour concepts under 7-metre-high ceilings and on 2 floors. And it's all so beautiful that the plants – what Starkl actually stands for – are almost a bit forgotten. Incidentally, the green oasis is inspired by Viennese salons and aims to make people linger. That's why workshops are held here regularly, for example on flower arranging or soap making.

Influencer Hank Ge, who has lived in Vienna for a good 10 years now, is known for his colourful Bali brunch and also for his vegan pizzas. Now, for the first time, both are combined under one roof. In Alserbachstraße, you can indulge in fruits, exoticism and breakfast bliss at the weekend, while fluffy pizzas are baked during the week. They are served without cutlery, but instead with golden scissors for cutting – and they taste delicious: whether vegetarian (with pear, gorgonzola, nuts) or topped with prosciutto, almonds and arugula. The vegan versions have not yet been tasted ;-) Not bad either: the food is served in a stylish island flair.
