Christmas Bazaar Yak & Yeti
A somewhat different Christmas market takes place under Buddhist prayer flags in the beautiful courtyard of the Yak + Yeti restaurant. The punch is natural with fresh fruit, and for shopping you will find authentic handicrafts from Nepal, Tibet and India. There are the finest scarves and blankets made of yak wool (Tibet), pashminas (North India and Nepal), daphne paper, fresh spices from mountain villages in the Himalayas, handmade silver jewellery and textiles from Gujarat. The proceeds will go to a project in Nepal. You can find even more beautiful Xmas markets online!

But it will also get exciting above ground here in Vienna – the Austro photographer's works have the necessary depth even without a spectacle. Sometimes he portrays unsuspecting boys playing on a sunken espionage shipwreck, sometimes people in danger of suffocating in the "Plastic Ocean". So please take a deep breath and marvel at the miracle works all without diving togs ;-)

Hedy Lamarr: Retrospective
She is undoubtedly one of the most influential women of the 20th century –well visible right now in the current show "Lady Bluetooth" at the Jewish Museum. She was a clever scientist, an attractive screen goddess – and still unhappily trapped in the female role model at the time all her life. She became famous with the film "Ecstasy", an Eva & Adam sex story from 1933, in which the female orgasm is actually hinted at. During the Nazi era the film was prudishly cut short, from today on – in addition to other Lamarr films – a reconstructed version can be seen.

Löven
They are already quite a phenomenon, the three big-city millennials Sami Fischer and Gregor and Paul Sailer, who hide behind the band Löven. Actually, they have been playing together as an alternative rock band "My Glorious" for over 10 years. But then they wanted to give it another go, make rougher music - and so they simply founded their second band Löven. The debut single "Anananda" (as in "anananda geraten" ;-) promptly landed in the charts! Now the next catchy tune follows with " Immer mehr...". Live they are the hit! This will be a concert to dance to!

“Bentwood And Beyond”
What sounds like a shipbuilding workshop at first glance turns out to be the title of the new Thonet exhibition at the MAK. And in it, the wood is in for it in no less spectacular way! The story of the furniture company Thonet began in 1842, when the German master carpenter Michael Thonet moved to Vienna to perfect his unique bentwood furniture. The legendary armchair no. 14 is now known by everyone, but in addition to 240 selected Thonet classics, there are many other ingenious tubular steel and bentwood designs of the modern age to admire. Today is the vernissage!

And because the creative couple can also illustrate, one thing led to another and they now have a cool range of printed sweaters, hoodies and T-shirts to choose from. On them are ingenious mini prints such as the "exploding cat's head woman" or the "confused man". Also great: the leather bags and backpacks from Istanbul! Stöckl im Park
It was discussed for a long time (because of neighbours and parking lots), but this week the restaurant in the Belvedere Garden finally opened late. Completely renovated and newly built, tastefully furnished with lots of wood, glazed towards the park – and with its own brewery. This also sets the tone in the kitchen, no matter if you only want to eat "something small" like stuffed beer pretzels or if you come in hungry. Beef roulades with beer sauce, grammel dumplings on beer cabbage and classic restaurant cuisine are on the menu – and it tastes delicious! The service is super friendly as well. And the garden will be a hit in summertime!
