"Heya Girls!"
As everybody knows: Homemade gifts are often the nicest. With a little help, it's quite easy. Like Friday at the Camaleo: If you want, you can create a Christmas vase that is worked on with a mix of the best techniques. You can work with transfer foils or stamp mats, gild and try out 44 colours. You can also get punch and biscuits while working to put your sense of creativity into the Christmas mood ;-) The next day you can make your own Christmas baubles in the wonderful Supersense on Saturday. And they are personalised. You bring your favourite photo with you, which is then transformed into a Polaroid and finally turned into a Christmas ball. For your own tree or as a present. And because everything has to be wrapped, you can print your own wrapping paper in the sewing salon Nahtlos – very original with old pattern rollers.
Wishing you a creative week,
Your CitySpotterGirl

 Yak & Yeti
Christmas Bazaar Yak & Yeti
A somewhat different Christmas market takes place under Buddhist prayer flags in the beautiful courtyard of the Yak + Yeti restaurant. The punch is natural with fresh fruit, and for shopping you will find authentic handicrafts from Nepal, Tibet and India. There are the finest scarves and blankets made of yak wool (Tibet), pashminas (North India and Nepal), daphne paper, fresh spices from mountain villages in the Himalayas, handmade silver jewellery and textiles from Gujarat. The proceeds will go to a project in Nepal. You can find even more beautiful Xmas markets online!

 Andreas Franke
Pop Galerie Andreas Franke
Actually, the photos of the series "The Sinking World of Andreas Franke" should be shown at the bottom of the Danube. Just like recently at his underwater exhibition off the coast of Florida! But it will also get exciting above ground here in Vienna – the Austro photographer's works have the necessary depth even without a spectacle. Sometimes he portrays unsuspecting boys playing on a sunken espionage shipwreck, sometimes people in danger of suffocating in the "Plastic Ocean". So please take a deep breath and marvel at the miracle works all without diving togs ;-)

Hedy Lamarr: Retrospective
She is undoubtedly one of the most influential women of the 20th century –well visible right now in the current show "Lady Bluetooth" at the Jewish Museum. She was a clever scientist, an attractive screen goddess – and still unhappily trapped in the female role model at the time all her life. She became famous with the film "Ecstasy", an Eva & Adam sex story from 1933, in which the female orgasm is actually hinted at. During the Nazi era the film was prudishly cut short, from today on – in addition to other Lamarr films – a reconstructed version can be seen.

Dem Kleid eine Bühne
If you feel like getting a breeze of Viennese fashion air, you can get a taste of it today at kunstBOGEN! There 3 Viennese Cocos and 1 future Karl have teamed up to put together an inspiring fashion theatre. To be seen on the catwalk stage: Sabrina Stadlober's new collection "the binary experience" (there was a lot of laser cutting, pressing and fabric manipulation!), Goran Bugaric's fine made-to-measure dresses from the "smallest couture house in Vienna". Then there's also Linda Sekoll's nostalgic basic wardrobe "Not for Sale" and urban botanic chic by Klara Neuber. Cool fashion 4-acter!

Winter Party: Aurora Rooftop Bar
You should definitely pray for some snowflakes today ;-) Then Vienna would be slightly sugared and the scenery for the Scandinavian Lucia Light Festival on the roof of the Andaz Hotel would be even more enchanting. The rooftop bar with the great panoramic view over Vienna is open specially and exceptionally for one night! Between White Glögg and "Nordic" culinary nibbles like cauliflower oysters and popcorn-raspberry-chocolate, you can warm yourself over an open fire, dance or just look into the night with a smile on your face. If you come in (Lucia) white, you get a free drink!

Hoermanseder X We Are Flowergirls
When these two Austro-Fashion high-flyers invite you to their exclusive Christmas pop-up for three days, you simply have to go (and just gift yourself, if need be). We Are Flowergirls is there with new wreaths, brocade crowns and Leo velvet hairbands. But in view of the sub-zero temperatures, she will also bring snuggly Turban Beanies and Captain Caps! Marina Hoermanseder, on the other hand, has mega-hot bondage goods from the current collection to offer (such as the cool Buckle Jeans!), but also buckle bracelets, bags and brand new: leather plant hangers!

If you don’t have any gift ideas yet, let alone wrapped presents, you will be saved with some joyful solutions at the Edelstoff X-Mas Market today and tomorrow. It’s far from mainstream and offers something suitable for every taste! Particularly “hot” this year: various head-warming items by Mützenmafia, funny “Look A Like”-porcelain that looks like disposable tableware. They are already quite a phenomenon, the three big-city millennials Sami Fischer and Gregor and Paul Sailer, who hide behind the band Löven. Actually, they have been playing together as an alternative rock band "My Glorious" for over 10 years. But then they wanted to give it another go, make rougher music - and so they simply founded their second band Löven. The debut single "Anananda" (as in "anananda geraten" ;-) promptly landed in the charts! Now the next catchy tune follows with "Immer mehr...". Live they are the hit! This will be a concert to dance to!

Tasting of Organic Honey
The industrious bees from Karl and Uli Heller’s organic honey farm have covered around 200,000 km again to collect nectar for a single kilo of honey: at the Schwarzenberg-Park, the Pötzleinsdorfer Schlosspark, and at the foot of Rax and Schneeberg, among other areas. You can find out what kind of deliciousness and flavour their efforts resulted in at the Manameierei today. And to reveal as much: this year’s Demeter gold from Viennese lime and chestnut blossoms will draw even the laziest fella from the woodwork! You also get candles and Christmas tree ornaments made of beeswax

Wild plant researcher, nutritionist and cookbook author Margot Fischer has been dedicating herself to "wild pleasures" for years. Today she invites culinarily like-minded people to chat and shop! To her recent forest and meadow yield belong, for instance: delicious Aronia Dirndl red wine jams, herb pesti with pumpkin and walnuts and vitalizing tea mixtures. Everything is homemade! At her side, natural beautician Libusa Kanov provides fine creams and tinctures for external well-being. And all this happens in the glass house on the Danube Canal!

Gospel Project: Light has come
Heart-warming, spirited, loud and cheerful: The Vienna Gospel Project is not an elite choir, but a colourful mixed bunch of passionate singers who have developed into one of the best choirs in the country by now. At today's concert, the eighty gospel singers will be supported by a top-class band and a very powerful voice: The former "Rounder Girl" Kim Cooper will present her own soulful gospel songs as a soloist. The motto of the evening will be: to bring light into the dark time(s) with music. May the exercise succeed, hallelujah!

Gymnastics for the brain
What do you do with a computer when suddenly nothing works anymore? Right – a restart! Human energetic healer Ingrid Fischer follows the same principle today with somewhat overheated brain casts. And shows chronically stressed people how they can press their own reset button in the brain with the help of various meditation, concentration and body exercises. This lets you exclaim: hurray and amen! And you’re already happy when there is finally an end to minor concentration deficits and memory gaps again. The event ends with a fine relaxation. “Bentwood And Beyond”
What sounds like a shipbuilding workshop at first glance turns out to be the title of the new Thonet exhibition at the MAK. And in it, the wood is in for it in no less spectacular way! The story of the furniture company Thonet began in 1842, when the German master carpenter Michael Thonet moved to Vienna to perfect his unique bentwood furniture. The legendary armchair no. 14 is now known by everyone, but in addition to 240 selected Thonet classics, there are many other ingenious tubular steel and bentwood designs of the modern age to admire. Today is the vernissage!

MoZuluArt: "African Christmas”
Nothing puts you into the Christmas mood as quickly and immediately as good music. Because it doesn't have to be studied for a long time but automatically goes right into the heart! That’s exactly what will happen tonight when the Zimbabwe-Upper Austria-Quartet "MoZuluArt" performs their mix of African Mbube-"lion"-singing and Mozart. They have already wrapped the Vienna Symphony Orchestra around their fingers, as well as audiences from NY to Dakar :-) Today, in Vienna with "An African Christmas", they give you goose bumps. Totally holi-dazzled
Anyone who already feels a little mentally overtaxed in the face of the (pre-)Christmas gifting frenzy-, family- and fir madness, will find peace here and now :-) Singer Elena Schreiber and actor Robert Kolar from the opera theatre LEO invite you to a colourful cabaret evening and they don’t hold back poking fun at the whole Christmas fuss. And because the creative couple can also illustrate, one thing led to another and they now have a cool range of printed sweaters, hoodies and T-shirts to choose from. Stöckl im Park
It was discussed for a long time (because of neighbours and parking lots), but this week the restaurant in the Belvedere Garden finally opened late. Completely renovated and newly built, tastefully furnished with lots of wood, glazed towards the park – and with its own brewery. This also sets the tone in the kitchen, no matter if you only want to eat "something small" like stuffed beer pretzels or if you come in hungry. Beef roulades with beer sauce, grammel dumplings on beer cabbage and classic restaurant cuisine are on the menu – and it tastes delicious! The service is super friendly as well. And the garden will be a hit in summertime!
